About

To make a long story short, during my first trip through college I chose the almighty dollar over an innate interest in wildlife and the environment (Green vs. Green). Now with over 8 years in the Biotech realm, I have managed to squeeze in some extra time for earning a degree in Environmental Sciences and Fisheries & Wildlife.

The Lindsay Wildlife Museum incorporates a wildlife hospital that treats more than 6,000 native California animals every year, and provided invaluable experience in regards to nurturing and rehabilitating a variety of species including raptors, foxes, coyotes, mountain lions, reptiles, and amphibians.

With my degree in hand, I just couldn’t bare to see JournOwl fade into the depths of the web so I decided to match local volunteerism with an online persona dedicated to promoting wildlife conservation and disseminating wildlife news.  In essence, JournOwl has evolved from a mere journal to a formal blog that I hope the world finds intriguing and useful.

Like life, the web is a dynamic environment. In a few creative moments one can be fulfilling a requirement, but awaken to find themselves chronicling existence. Time will tell where this site is in 6 months or 10 years, and it’s entirely possible it will tell you where I have been and where I am going.

Now let’s see what happens…
